According to figures from the Colombian Association for the Study of Pain (Aced), 1 in 3 adults report feeling chronic pain, in 75% of cases it lasts more than 6 months and, in more than 30%, this condition is health affects work, emotions and sleep.
A survey carried out by Aced concluded, among other results, that the main causes of pain are from the musculoskeletal system, which is caused by diseases such as arthritis, osteoarthritis or osteoporosis, or by soft tissue disorders such as tendon injuries that worsen after to perform physical activity.
